Film Permit Application Information

Film permits are required for filming on U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) fee owned or managed land. A film permit ensures that the public's interest and valuable resources are protected.

Different procedures exist depending on the ownership of the land of the filming location, namely whether owned by the Corps (e.g., Corps Dams), or owned by another party (e.g., Los Angeles River). If you are unsure what party owns the land for your film location, please coordinate with FilmL.A. or the Corps, who can provide channel ownership maps. For additional information on the application process and filming requirements, please read the Film Permit Information Form.
