Arizona-Nevada Area Office

Arizona-Nevada Area Office ThumbnailThe mission of the Arizona-Nevada Area Office is to collectively and efficiently carry out the critical roles of the Los Angeles District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers by serving our publics, partners and stakeholders. Currently, the Area Support Team (AST) workload concentrates on extensive environmental restoration projects, flood control, military construction, and Interagency and International Support (IIS) within Arizona and Nevada.

The AST is organized into Project Delivery Teams of various professional disciplines that support mission requirements in specific geographic locations. Some of the professional disciplines represented in our workforce include program managers, construction managers and project engineers, real estate specialists, appraisers, planning study managers, regulators, contract administrators, budget analysts and administrative personnel. The benefit of working in an AST is improved customer relationships because team members have a local presence and knowledge of the area. Team members also increase their institutional expertise of the area and the team’s capabilities to execute the USACE missions accordingly.

We support five military installations and bases including Nellis AFB, Luke AFB, Davis-Monthan AFB, Fort Huachuca and the Yuma Proving Ground.

The Arizona-Nevada Area Office is one of two AST’s in the Los Angeles District. AST’s were designed with our customers, partners and stakeholders in mind. The others AST includes the Southern California Area Office (Palmdale, Calif.)

The Arizona-Nevada AST is supported by a Construction Area Office and three subordinate resident offices with various project offices operating throughout Arizona and southern Nevada.
