U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, LA District announces five-rear review for Williams Field Bomb Target Range No. 6

FLORENCE, Ariz. (Apr. 24, 2014) -- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is conducting a five-year review of the Former Williams Field Bomb Target No. 6,  in Pinal County, Ariz. to determine if the institutional controls and previous removal action continue to minimize explosives risks and continues to be protective of human health, safety, and the environment.

Once the work is complete, there will be a 30 day public review period. If the LA District’s review determines the removal action is no longer protective, the District will schedule another 5 year review and recommend whatever changes that could apply based on the FUDS guidance.
The report is scheduled for completion by September 30, 2014. When completed, a copy of the final Five-Year Review Report will be available at the information repository listed below:
