The PCRFCD wishes to expedite processing of the Department of the Army (DA) Section 408 permit applications.  Per Section 214 of the Water Resources Development Act of 2000 (WRDA 2000, Public Law No. 106-541) as amended and codified at 33 U.S.C. 2352, the Secretary (of the Army), after public notice, may accept and expend funds contributed by non-Federal public entities to expedite the evaluation of permits under the jurisdiction of the Department of the Army.  The purpose of this public notice is to announce the preliminary intent of the District to accept such funds from PCRFCD, and to solicit comments from the public, Federal, State and local agencies and officials, and other interested parties regarding such intent.
