Construction - North Valley Regional Water Infrastructure, CA

LOCATION AND DESCRIPTION:
The project is located in the city of Lancaster, about 50 miles northeast of Los Angeles, in Los Angeles County. The project will provide critically needed water facilities to the northern sector of the Antelope Valley region, particularly Fox Field Industrial Corridor, an 8,200-acre planned business/industrial park development. The project will include design and construction of approximately 8.5 miles of 36-inch diameter and 24-inch diameter water main and related facilities and approx.13.3 miles of 24ft 16-inch and 12-inch diameter of recycled water to serve this part of the city.

AUTHORIZATION: WRDA 1992, Section 219(f), as amended by WRDA 1999, Section 502(b) and amended by Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2001, Section 108(d) (50) 902: Does not apply to Section 219 projects.

ACTIVITIES FOR FY 2023: None

FY 2024 PLANNED ACCOMPLISHMENTS: Project on hold. In future years with optimal funds $2M - complete design of 3 miles of 24" recycled water main from the existing temporary Los Angeles County Sanitation Districts (LACSD) connection point at Avenue E to the Lancaster Water Reclamation Plant (LWRP), a pump station and an earthen reservoir, to provide reliable dedicated recycled water service to the City of Lancaster.

ISSUES AND OTHER INFORMATION: The next section to be constructed could be used to complete the design of 3 miles of 24" recycled water main from the existing temporary Los Angeles County Sanitation Districts (LACSD) connection point at Avenue E to the Lancaster Water Reclamation Plant (LWRP), a pump station and an earthen reservoir, to provide reliable dedicated recycled water service to the City of Lancaster.
