The Los Angeles District supports the public in its four-state area with a wide variety of projects and planning, engineering, construction and environmental services.  Projects include flood risk management, navigation, recreation, and infrastructure and environmental stewardship.  Planning includes studying various water resources related infrastructure projects and developing recommendations to Congress on the appropriateness of funding for these projects.  Studies involve flood control, navigation, shore protection, environmental restoration and recreation.
