LOCATION AND DESCRIPTION: Phoenix Reach located along 5.0 mi of Salt River, from I-10 Bridge to 19th Avenue in Phoenix. Tempe Reach located along 1.3 miles on Indian Bend Wash from McKellips Road downstream to confluence with the Salt River in Tempe and includes two separated half-mile reaches of the Salt River. The ecosystem restoration project restores a highly degraded urban river, enhancing native plant communities and federally listed threatened & endangered species habitat by returning the area to a more natural condition. Recreation & environmental education opportunities are included. These habitats are especially valuable due to their scarcity and the number of species that depend upon them.

ACTIVITIES FOR FY23: Carryover funds will be used to continue closeout activities.
FY24 PLANNED ACCOMPLISHMENTS: Planned carryover funds will be used to complete project close out.
