Workers with American Integrated Services, Inc., a subcontractor for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Los Angeles District’s Time Critical Removal Action of a Formerly Used Defense Site just outside Kingman, rebuild a wall between two properties July 29 which was taken down during the “construction phase” of the cleanup project. The “construction phase” of the removal included providing temporary relocation assistance for residents and their pets while cleanup was being done from nearly 60 properties; removing the landscaping, rocks and other similarly mobile items on each affected property and storing them in a secure location while the team removes soil on the property up to a depth of two feet; and restoring removed items to their original location unless the property owners or residents asked for the items to remain off of the property.
