Through mid-August, the navigational dredging project at Oceanside Harbor has placed about 126,700 cubic yards of material on the beach from the San Luis Rey River to the north to the Oceanside Pier to the south. The material, a beneficial byproduct of dredging the harbor for navigational safety for boaters, results in more recreational area for beachgoers and increased protection for residents and business adjacent to the coast.
