Public Notices

A public notice is the primary method for advising all interested parties of a proposed activity for which a permit is sought. Soliciting comments and information necessary to evaluate the probable impacts on the public interest. Public notices are also published to inform the public about new or proposed regulations, policies, guidance or permit procedures.  

Public Notices published by the Los Angeles District are posted on these three pages. There are two types of Public Notices; Regulatory and Project Public Notices. Comments are due by the expiration date of the public notice. 

Only comments submitted by email or in hard copy format through a delivery service, such as the U.S. Postal Service, can be accepted.   Comments must be submitted to the address listed in the public notice.

SPL-2014-003-PD-RL-KW Perris Water Wells

In conjunction with the Eastern Municipal Water District, the Corps proposes to construct four ground water well complexes in and within the vicinity of Nuevo, an unincorporated community in western Riverside County, California.  The Corps is authorized to design and construct water-related environmental infrastructure and resource protection and development projects, including wastewater treatment and related facilities and water supply, storage, treatment, and distribution facilities, pursuant to Section 219 (f)(52) of the Water Resources Development Act 1992 as amended.  Pursuant to the National Environmental Policy Act, the Corps is soliciting reviews and comments on the draft Environmental Assessment.  Comments will be accepted from Monday August 4, 2014 through Friday, August 15, 2015.  Comments can be submitted electronically to kenneth.wong@usace.army.mil.
