Public Notices

A public notice is the primary method for advising all interested parties of a proposed activity for which a permit is sought. Soliciting comments and information necessary to evaluate the probable impacts on the public interest. Public notices are also published to inform the public about new or proposed regulations, policies, guidance or permit procedures.  

Public Notices published by the Los Angeles District are posted on these three pages. There are two types of Public Notices; Regulatory and Project Public Notices. Comments are due by the expiration date of the public notice. 

Only comments submitted by email or in hard copy format through a delivery service, such as the U.S. Postal Service, can be accepted.   Comments must be submitted to the address listed in the public notice.

  • City of Globe Watermain (ADOT to Fairgrounds) project

    Pursuant to the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) of 1969, as amended (42 United States Code [U.S.C.] § 4321, et seq), the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is preparing an Environmental Assessment for the proposed City of Globe Watermain (ADOT to Fairgrounds) Project in Gila County, Arizona.     Pursuant to the National Environmental Policy Act, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Los Angeles District is preparing an Environmental Assessment for the Town of Quartzsite Water System Improvements Project. The purpose of the EA is to evaluate potential environmental impacts of proposed improvement activities to the water distribution system in the Town of Quartzsite, Arizona. The purpose of this project is to improve the safety, resiliency due to increased water demands with winter visitors, and reliability of the drinking water distribution system.
