Public Notices

A public notice is the primary method for advising all interested parties of a proposed activity for which a permit is sought. Soliciting comments and information necessary to evaluate the probable impacts on the public interest. Public notices are also published to inform the public about new or proposed regulations, policies, guidance or permit procedures.  

Public Notices published by the Los Angeles District are posted on these three pages. There are two types of Public Notices; Regulatory and Project Public Notices. Comments are due by the expiration date of the public notice. 

Only comments submitted by email or in hard copy format through a delivery service, such as the U.S. Postal Service, can be accepted.   Comments must be submitted to the address listed in the public notice.

SPL-2015-004-CHB Corona Mach 1 Mud Run at Prado Airport

The City of Corona wishes to hold the 5th annual Mach 1 Mud Run (“Mud Run”) on June 20, 2015, at the Corona Municipal Airport which is located on Federally-owned properties within the Prado Flood Control Basin, Riverside County, California.  The event anticipates 2,000-3,000 participants and would include several obstacles throughout the course event, which is annually located at the Airport and at the adjacent, abandoned percolation pond area immediately east of the Airport.  The event would also host food, beverage and entertainment booths onsite. Parking will be $5.00.  All events will occur at locations above Prado’s 10-year flood pool return elevation.

Prior to the event, the City is conducting biological monitoring for any least Bell’s vireo territories which may be located adjacent to but outside fenced areas of the proposed Mud Run, and will make any adjustments necessary to Event features, in a manner to avoid adverse impact to the species.
