Public Notices

A public notice is the primary method for advising all interested parties of a proposed activity for which a permit is sought. Soliciting comments and information necessary to evaluate the probable impacts on the public interest. Public notices are also published to inform the public about new or proposed regulations, policies, guidance or permit procedures.  

Public Notices published by the Los Angeles District are posted on these three pages. There are two types of Public Notices; Regulatory and Project Public Notices. Comments are due by the expiration date of the public notice. 

Only comments submitted by email or in hard copy format through a delivery service, such as the U.S. Postal Service, can be accepted.   Comments must be submitted to the address listed in the public notice.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Los Angeles District (Corps), has received a request from the City of Los Angeles, Department of Recreation and Parks (City), the recreational lessee at Sepulveda Recreation Area at the Sepulveda Dam and Basin, for a proposed special event entitled AngelFest. As described by the City, AngelFest would be a three (3)-day music and cultural event celebrating the City of Los Angeles. The Corps is currently preparing an Environmental Assessment (EA) to analyze the impacts of approving the event and of waiving certain conditions of the Sepulveda Dam Basin special events policy. Once the draft EA is complete, it will be circulated for public review for fifteen (15) days, during which time the public will have an opportunity to comment on the draft EA.
