What is your job title?

Deputy Chief of Santa Ana Dam Resident Office

Where do you work?

My office is in Corona at the Prado Dam facilities. However, I am only there a couple of days a week, the rest of the week I manage construction projects at Veterans Affairs-Loma Linda, Joint Forces Training Base, Los Alamitos, and March Air Reserve Base.

How long have you worked for the Corps?

I have been with the corps nearly 3 years

In your own words, what is your job? What do you do?

I manage Project Office personnel, equipment, and projects of the Santa Ana Resident Office. Currently $100 million in projects are under way. I am a liaison between the customer, end user, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Because I'm on active duty the uniform opens some doors that my civilian counterparts can't, which is a plus for our office.

What do you love about your job?

I love that I am not tied to a desk and every day is another problem to solve. At the end of the day we produce a great product and keep costs down for the tax payers and the end users.

Any special moments/memories about your job you'd like to share?

My team is doing such a great job for both the California National Guard and U.S. Army Reserve at JFTB. Our efforts have at least four more projects for the USAR and two more for the CNG on the drawing board.
