LOCATION AND DESCRIPTION:
Oceanside Harbor is located on the Southern California coast, about 30 miles north of the city of San Diego, in  San Diego County. The harbor is split into a commercial harbor that supports commercial fishing vessels as well  as recreational boaters and a military harbor that supports operations at Marine Corps Base (MCB) Camp Pendleton.

AUTHORIZATION: Rivers and Harbors Act of 1937, 1945.

ACTIVITIES FOR FY 2023: Carryover funds will be used to perform annual maintenance dredging of the harbor, environmental coordination, including engineering and design. Conduct structure survey. Funds will be used to conduct additional dredging of approach channel.

IIJA ACTIVITIES: Funds were used to conduct an annual structure survey to track progression of failures.

FY 2024 PLANNED ACCOMPLISHMENTS: Optimal funds could be used to perform routine maintenance dredging.

ISSUES AND OTHER INFORMATION: Cost of maintaining the harbor is split 50% with the U.S. Marine Corps to support their activities at MCB Camp Pendleton.
