A contract worker monitors the discharge of material from the navigational dredging project at Oceanside Harbor being place on the beach adjacent to the Oceanside Pier. Through mid-August, the contractor has placed about 126,700 cubic yards of material on the beach, resulting in more recreational area for beachgoers and increased protection for residents and business adjacent to the coast.
