LA District completes gate installation at Alamo Dam
The Bill Williams River National Wildlife Refuge is pictured April 29 near Lake Havasu City, Arizona. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers built the Alamo Dam east upstream in 1968 to release water to mimic natural water flows, while still mitigating against floods and maintaining the native Cottonwood and Willow growth.
