    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Los Angeles District and URS Corporation have held ping pong leagues for several years and ultimately hold a championship tournament on the seventh-floor patio of their downtown Los Angeles office building. In the men’s division, it was an all-District final as ACE-IT contractor Bee Cha won three sets to one against David Coltharp (pictured) of the asset management division.

    James A. Moye, a project engineer in the Roadrunner Resident Office at the Arizona-Nevada Area Office, received the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Los Angeles District’s Kevin Inada Memorial Employee of the Quarter Award for the second quarter in 2012.

Buck McKeon, and Capt. Jeffrey Warstler, company commander, cut the ribbon ceremonially opening the Los Angeles Recruiting Battalion's newest station in Simi Valley, Calif., June 20. The Los Angeles District manages more than 250 recruiting station leases throughout Southern California, Arizona and Nevada, as part of the Department of Defense Recruiting Facilities Program.
