Public Notices

A public notice is the primary method for advising all interested parties of a proposed activity for which a permit is sought. Soliciting comments and information necessary to evaluate the probable impacts on the public interest. Public notices are also published to inform the public about new or proposed regulations, policies, guidance or permit procedures.  

Public Notices published by the Los Angeles District are posted on these three pages. There are two types of Public Notices; Regulatory and Project Public Notices. Comments are due by the expiration date of the public notice. 

Only comments submitted by email or in hard copy format through a delivery service, such as the U.S. Postal Service, can be accepted.   Comments must be submitted to the address listed in the public notice.

The Riverside County Regional Park and Open Space District wishes to expedite processing of the RCRPOSD’s Department of the Army (DA) Section 408 permit applications.  Per Section 214 of the Water Resources Development Act of 2000 (WRDA 2000, Public Law No. 106-541) as amended and codified at 33 U.S.C. 2352, the Secretary (of the Army), after public notice, may accept and expend funds contributed by non-federal public entities to expedite the evaluation of permits under the jurisdiction of the Department of the Army.  The purpose of this public notice is to announce the preliminary intent of the District to accept such funds from RCRPOSD, and to solicit comments from the public, Federal, State and local agencies and officials, and other interested parties regarding such intent.
