Public Notices

A public notice is the primary method for advising all interested parties of a proposed activity for which a permit is sought. Soliciting comments and information necessary to evaluate the probable impacts on the public interest. Public notices are also published to inform the public about new or proposed regulations, policies, guidance or permit procedures.  

Public Notices published by the Los Angeles District are posted on these three pages. There are two types of Public Notices; Regulatory and Project Public Notices. Comments are due by the expiration date of the public notice. 

Only comments submitted by email or in hard copy format through a delivery service, such as the U.S. Postal Service, can be accepted.   Comments must be submitted to the address listed in the public notice.

City of Buckeye Central Water Reclamation Facility Improvements Project

      The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Los Angeles District (USACE), proposes to assist the City of Buckeye with its Central Water Reclamation Facility (facility) under the authority of Section 595 of the Water Resources Development Act (WRDA) of 1999, Public Law 106-53, as amended (Section 595), by cost-sharing engineering design and construction of repairs and upgrades to the facility (Proposed Action). The USACE posted a Public Notice of its intent to prepare an Environmental Assessment (EA) for this project on December 19, 2024. The purpose of this notice is to notify the public that the USACE will longer be preparing an EA. The USACE intends to use a Categorical Exclusion for the Proposed Action in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) of 1969, as amended (42 United States Code (USC) 4321, et seq.), and the Department of Defense (DoD) NEPA Implementing Procedures published June 30, 2025.
