Public Notices

A public notice is the primary method for advising all interested parties of a proposed activity for which a permit is sought. Soliciting comments and information necessary to evaluate the probable impacts on the public interest. Public notices are also published to inform the public about new or proposed regulations, policies, guidance or permit procedures.  

Public Notices published by the Los Angeles District are posted on these three pages. There are two types of Public Notices; Regulatory and Project Public Notices. Comments are due by the expiration date of the public notice. 

Only comments submitted by email or in hard copy format through a delivery service, such as the U.S. Postal Service, can be accepted.   Comments must be submitted to the address listed in the public notice.

Interested parties are hereby notified that the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Los Angeles District has received an application for a Department of the Army permit pursuant to Section 404 of the Clean Water Act (33 U.S.C. § 1344), Section 10 of the Rivers and Harbors Act of 1899 (33 U.S.C. § 403), Section 103 of the Marine Protection, Research and Sanctuaries Act of 1972 (33 U.S.C. § 1413) to conduct work, including dredge and fill, and erect structures to modify and expand on the 382-acre Pier T marine terminal and dispose of dredged material.

To redevelop the existing facilities (382 acres and expand the existing Pier T marine terminal at Berths T-130 through T-140 at the POLB) to optimize cargo-handling efficiency and capacity of the terminal and to accommodate anticipated future container volumes and container ship sizes.
