    Director of Programs and Deputy Engineer of the South Pacific Border Task Force Greg Hegge monitors border barrier installation progress at the BMGR-1 project site Nov. 17 near Yuma, Arizona. USACE is replacing permanent border barriers along the southern border of the U.S. at the direction of the U.S. Army by the Secretary of War, in response to the presidential national emergency declaration dated Jan. 20, 2025, authorizing the use of Section 2803 of Title 10, U.S. Code.

    Corps awards $7.6 million border barrier contract

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers South Pacific Border District awarded a $7.6 million contract modification April 15 to Fisher Sand & Gravel Co., Dickinson, North Dakota, for approximately 800 linear feet of border wall construction and associated infrastructure in Yuma, Arizona.

    Col. Kim Colloton visits the VA Long Beach project. The $300 million VA Long Beach project consists of five phases. The first phase includes a behavioral/mental health facility and a 40 bed inpatient facility. Colloton was briefed by Project Manager Monica Eichler.

    South Pacific Division Commander visits District projects, people
