    Assistant Secretary of the Army for Civil Works announces ‘Build Infrastructure, Not Paperwork’ transformation initiative for the Army’s Civil Works program

    Today, Assistant Secretary of the Army for Civil Works Adam R. Telle announced a major initiative, “Building Infrastructure, Not Paperwork,” for the Army’s Civil Works program. “Building Infrastructure, Not Paperwork” will provide greater focus on the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ (USACE) core Civil Works missions, while minimizing non-core programs, direct funding to priority water resources projects that will provide the greatest benefits to the nation, shorten permitting timelines and reduce or eliminate extraneous regulations and paperwork that slow USACE’s delivery of Civil Works projects and programs.

    USACE completes wildfire debris removal on final parcel along Pacific Coast Highway

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, in partnership with FEMA, California Office of Emergency Services, Los Angeles County and other local agencies, has completed debris removal on the final FEMA-assigned parcel along the iconic Pacific Coast Highway, as part of ongoing recovery efforts from the 2025 Palisades Fire.

    The message to potential candidates from U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ leaders and hiring managers was clear during a recent career fair: “We are hiring!” Over a two-day period, Nov. 1-2, USACE’s South Pacific Division was among several federal agencies that converged on SoFi Stadium for the Total Army Career Fair with one mission in mind: to recruit talent and fill critical vacant positions across all four of its districts.
