The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Los Angeles District is scheduling a routine, short-duration water release from Alamo Dam at 10 a.m. Dec. 7 to flush out small amounts of sediment in the conduit.

The Corps water release will be for about 30 minutes to one hour and will not exceed 500 cubic-feet per-second.

The total volume discharged will be about 3 acre-feet and will not impact the reservoir water surface elevation.

Interested parties can check  http://resreg.spl.usace.army.mil/pages/alamo.php for real-time information on the release rate.

The plan may be revised due to unforeseen circumstances or weather events.
