PHOENIX — The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Los Angeles District will host a Business Opportunities Open House at its Arizona/Nevada Area Office in downtown Phoenix Tuesday, Jan. 29. The Open House will run from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and will consist of two sessions. The first is from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and the second is from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.
The event is an open forum designed to let business owners learn about contract opportunities and to learn how to do business with the Corps. Senior leadership from each division in the District will be on hand to discuss aspects of the Corps’ work in the area. This is the first such Open House the District has offered to businesses in the area.
Nearly 200 businesses, both large and small, are planning to attend the event. The District’s sheer size, with its area of responsibility extending into four states, has attracted businesses from as far away as San Diego and Las Vegas in addition to businesses in Phoenix and across Arizona.
Media members wishing to cover the event should contact Daniel J. Calderón at the Phoenix Area Office no later than 3 p.m. on Monday, Jan 28. Media should plan to arrive at least half an hour prior to the first session if they wish to speak with USACE leadership or representatives.
