  • Corps’ LA District to receive funding for several projects under Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Los Angeles District is pleased to announce several studies and projects throughout Southern California and Arizona that will receive funding under the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, or IIJA.
  • Corps to begin dredging Newport Bay Harbor, completing east jetty repairs

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Los Angeles District will begin dredging the Newport Bay Harbor entrance channel and perform repairs on the harbor’s east jetty in mid-April at Newport Beach, California. A $3-million contract to perform the work was awarded Feb. 24 to Pacific Dredge and Construction LLC, located in San Diego. The City of Newport Beach is the non-federal sponsor of the project.
  • Corps to begin dredging at Oceanside Harbor

    The Corps of Engineers Los Angeles District plans to dredge Oceanside Harbor this fall. Manson Construction, the Corps’ contractor, will begin the work in October after environmental restrictions – which include dredging during the California least tern nesting season – have ended.
  • Corps delays Oceanside maintenance dredging

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Los Angeles District announced May 23 it would delay it's annual maintenance dredging of Oceanside Harbor, typically expected to begin in April.
  • Dredging at Oceanside Harbor suspended through July 5

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announced today that dredging at Oceanside Harbor will be suspended until July 5 to accommodate beachgoers celebrating the July Fourth holiday and because of the adverse effects of anticipated wave action on dredging operations.
