Public Notices

A public notice is the primary method for advising all interested parties of a proposed activity for which a permit is sought. Soliciting comments and information necessary to evaluate the probable impacts on the public interest. Public notices are also published to inform the public about new or proposed regulations, policies, guidance or permit procedures.  

Public Notices published by the Los Angeles District are posted on these three pages. There are two types of Public Notices; Regulatory and Project Public Notices. Comments are due by the expiration date of the public notice. 

Only comments submitted by email or in hard copy format through a delivery service, such as the U.S. Postal Service, can be accepted.   Comments must be submitted to the address listed in the public notice.

    Expiration date: 7/12/2026

    In compliance with Section 14 of the Rivers and Harbors Act of 1899, as amended, codified at 33 U.S.C. 408 (“Section 408”), the Rio Hondo/San Gabriel River Watershed Management Joint Powers Authority (JPA), through the Los Angeles County Flood Control District (LACFCD), has requested permission from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) to alter Rio Hondo Channel, a feature for flood control in the Los Angeles County Drainage Area, California.

  • COCHISE COUNTY City of Douglas Point-of-Entry Modernization Project

    Expiration date: 7/3/2026

    Pursuant to the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) of 1969, as amended (42 U.S.C. § 4321, et seq), the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Los Angeles District (USACE), in coordination with its Non-Federal Sponsor (NFS), the City of Douglas (City), is preparing an Environmental Assessment (EA) for the proposed City of Douglas Point-of-Entry Modernization Project (proposed project) in the City of Douglas, Cochise County, Arizona (Figure 1). The purpose of the EA is to evaluate potential environmental impacts associated with the construction to complete Phase 2 of the City’s proposed project to expand its water distribution, wastewater conveyance, and broadband system. As part of the process, the USACE is preparing documentation to comply with NEPA and the Department of Defense NEPA Implementing Procedures, dated June 30, 2025 (90 Fed. Reg. 27857).

(NEPA), the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Los Angeles District (Corps) is preparing an Environmental Assessment (EA) (EAXX-202-00-L1O-1778774865) for the proposed International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) World Cup 2026 Fan Fest Event (Event) at the Whittier Narrows Recreation Area B in Los Angeles County, California. The purpose of the EA is to evaluate potential environmental impacts associated with the Event located in Los Angeles County, California on land leased to the County of Los Angeles Department of Parks and Recreation (County).
