Army Corps will host public meeting on Santa Ana River habitat restoration

LOS ANGELES – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will host a second public meeting at 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 28 at the Norco City Hall, 2820 Clark Avenue, Norco, 92860, to discuss habitat restoration efforts upstream of the Prado Dam.

his meeting is a follow-up to the first public meeting held Sept. 3, 2014. Among the issues to be discussed are equestrian trails, environmental impacts, benefits to flora and fauna, public access during restoration activities, safety, and work schedules.  The Corps will also report on restoration progress since the September meeting.

The Corps intends to host a third public meeting in March to discuss options for additional trail restoration in the 250-acre Norco parcel where non-native vegetation was removed previously.
