  • Leaders with Corps, city meet to discuss next steps on San Clemente Beach Nourishment project

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Los Angeles District commander met with the mayor of San Clemente Feb. 9 to discuss the San Clemente Beach Nourishment project. The two leaders — Col. Andrew Baker and Mayor Victor Cabral — walked along the project site near the San Clemente Pier, while discussing the way forward and addressing some of the city’s concerns. They were accompanied by LA District Project Manager Doland Cheung and San Clemente Coastal Administrator Leslea Meyerhoff.

  • Army Corps awards Oceanside Harbor dredging contract

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers awarded a $3.675 million contract March 29 to Manson Construction Company of Seattle, Washington, for the Oceanside Harbor Maintenance Dredging project.

  • Oceanside harbor dredging begins

    The annual Oceanside Harbor dredging project is underway, with Manson Construction Company having moved its equipment to the site and begun the process of assembling the pipeline that will transport material from the harbor’s entrance to points south along Oceanside’s beach. Dredging operations are scheduled to begin Monday, April 17.
