Flood risk managers prepare for El Nino

LOS ANGELES – Directors from flood risk management agencies representing seven Southern California counties met with the commander of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Los Angeles District here Nov. 12 to discuss preparations for the anticipated El Nino winter and other issues of common interest.

Drought conditions impact San Luis Rey River habitat restoration

Bi-weekly closures of the maintenance road along the south bank of the San Luis Rey River between Benet Road and Interstate 5 will continue for the foreseeable future, according to U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
