  • Army Corps of Engineers waives day use fees at recreation areas on Veterans Day; Some California recreation areas as well

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers headquarters in Washington D.C. announced Oct. 23 it will waive day use fees for veterans, active and reserve component service members, and their families at the more than 2,200 USACE-operated recreation areas nationwide on Veterans Day, Nov. 11. In addition, other agencies that manage recreation areas on USACE lands were encouraged, but not required, to offer the waiver in the areas that they manage. Several of these agencies in the Los Angeles area are also honoring our Nation’s veterans with the waiver of some fees.
