  • Corps hosting public meeting in Kingman

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Los Angeles District will host a public meeting at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 5, at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, 4536 Patsy Dr., in Kingman, Ariz., regarding the upcoming Time Critical Removal Action at sites in the former Kingman Ground-to-Ground Gunnery Range.
  • Corps issues permit for ongoing maintenance dredging activities in Newport Bay

    Regulators from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Los Angeles District issued a federal permit to the City of Newport Beach, Division of Harbor Resources on Jan. 10 for maintenance dredging activities in Newport Bay, located in the city of Newport Beach, Orange County, California. The permit was issued pursuant to section 10 of the Rivers and Harbors Act of 1899, section 404 of the Clean Water Act, and section 103 of the Marine Research, Protection and Sanctuaries Act.

  • Corps releases Encinitas-Solana Beach draft environmental study for public review

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Los Angeles District today released for public review environmental draft documents for the proposed Encinitas-Solana Beach coastal storm damage reduction project. The Corps will hold a public hearing in each city in February 2013. The public has until Feb. 26, 2013 to provide comments.
  • Gregory Canyon Landfill document released for public comment

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Los Angeles District today released the Gregory Canyon Landfill draft Environmental Impact Statement for public comment. A public meeting is scheduled for Jan. 31, 2013. Comments are due by Feb. 12, 2013.
